Taxi Taxis wait at the airport rank, no booking needed. Worth knowing: Rome's fixed airport fares only cover the historic centre. Ostia is outside that zone, so the meter applies — make sure it is running from the start, and do not accept a flat price agreed in advance. For the airport run, in both directions, the Ostia radio taxi is usually cheaper than a cab caught in Rome: +39 06 5601646.
